United Methodist Action Reach-Out Mission by Youth
UM Army is a ministry aimed at middle and high school youth begun in the Northeast in 2003 through the WUMC. The program began in Texas over 40 years ago and has spread across the South and Northeast since. The primary focus is serving the community by responding to the needs of our neighbors. This program provides opportunities for youth, young adults, and adults to experience Christian growth through service to others by providing home repairs, and yard work for low income, elderly and disabled homeowners who are financially or physically unable to make repairs themselves. UM Army volunteers come to combine their strengths and resources to help those in need while learning about Christ's love for all.
